Overview

Safe Cosmetics Alliance (safecosmeticsalliance.org) is a consumer-education website. We keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what little we collect and why.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, sign up for a newsletter, or submit personal information. There are no forms on this site. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you opened, and the time of your visit. We use those logs only to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not run ad-tracking scripts. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics to see which articles people read, it will count visits in aggregate. We do not sell visitor data, and we do not build profiles of individual readers.

Third-party links

Articles on this site link to other websites, including government pages and Sarah Hitchcox Aesthetics, which maintains this site. Those websites set their own policies, and we encourage you to read them.

Fonts

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google, which can log the request under Google's own privacy policy.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
